About these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and explain how our prices, quotes and contracts work. The site is run by DNC Paving, and our company details are shown at the foot of every page. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you go ahead with work, your written quote and contract set out the terms for that job, and they take priority over this page.
Using this website
You’re welcome to browse, print and share pages for your own private use. Please don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, overload it, send spam through its forms or copy its content in bulk with automated tools.
We work to keep the information here accurate and up to date, but it’s general guidance about driveways and patios, not advice about your property. Ground conditions, drainage and planning all depend on the individual site, which is why we always survey before we quote. The site may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Guide prices and estimates
The prices on this website, including figures from our price estimator and quote form, are guide ranges for typical jobs. They aren’t a quote or an offer to do work at that price. Your actual price depends on things we can only check on site, such as the ground, levels, access, drainage and what’s under your existing surface.
Quotes and contracts
After a free survey, we give you a written quote with a fixed price and a description of the work. A quote is valid for 30 days from its date. It isn’t a contract until you accept it in writing.
If anything needs to change once work has started, such as an extra you’ve asked for or something nobody could see at survey, we’ll agree it with you in writing before carrying on.
If you agree a contract with us in your home, or at a distance by phone, email or online, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to cancel. We give you full details and a cancellation form in writing with your contract, and there’s a plain-English summary on our process and guarantee page.
None of this affects your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, our work must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and the materials we supply must be of satisfactory quality and as described.
Our content
The text, photographs, designs and logos on this site belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You may not copy them for commercial use, or present our photographs as your own work, without our written permission. Some photographs are used under licence from their photographers.
Links to other websites
Where we link to other websites, such as Google reviews or the Information Commission, we do it to help you. We aren’t responsible for their content or for how they handle your information.
Our liability
We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breaching your legal rights as a consumer.
If we break these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We aren’t responsible for losses nobody could have foreseen. This website is free to use and meant for homeowners’ private use, so we aren’t liable for business losses, such as lost profit or business interruption.
Our liability for building work is set by your contract with us and your legal rights, not by this page.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, dated at the top, is the one that applies when you use the site.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.
